About us
We are a church located in the heart of Bristol with a vision to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the church and the transformation of society.
Our story so far
In 2018, Toby & Gill Flint and a small team relocated from Holy Trinity Brompton in London, to launch a new church in the city centre of Bristol.
We began with a small group of people gathering together for mid-week prayers and weekend BBQs. As we grew in numbers, we began to meet on Sundays in All Saints in the heart of St Nick’s Market. We then moved into our present home; a renovated and disused 18th century church, and officially launched on Sunday, 30 September 2018.
God really spoke to us powerfully through the architecture and location of this building and also the prayer of St Paul for the church in Ephesians:
I pray that you may grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ – and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:18-19
Our vision
It instantly provided us with a compelling narrative, a prophetic picture, of a church that would aim high in all we do, dig deep in prayer and discipleship, reach wide to the most in need in the city and go long, investing in the younger generation.
Our vision is to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the church and the transformation of society.
St Nicholas is a space where anyone can come to explore faith in a pressure-free environment, to encounter Jesus for themselves and to make a difference in the world around them. If you are new to church, you are so welcome.
