How Alpha works
-
Alpha is a series that explores the basics of the Christian faith over 9 weeks, with an option of an Alpha day. Each week looks at a different topic around faith and is designed to create conversation.
Each session is hosted in a small group of people just like you. You can sign up or just show up on the door.
There’s no pressure or follow-up, you can come as little or as often as you like. Each week of the course follows a natural progression, but nobody will contact you if you don’t return.
Alpha starts at 7 and runs to 9:15pm. -
No, Alpha is completely free apart from an optional charge for the Alpha day.
-
There’s a meal provided with all dietary requirements catered for, alongside video content and an opportunity to chat.
-
A 30 minute talk will explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing topics such as 'Who is Jesus?', 'Why and how should I pray?' and 'How does God guide us?'.
-
Probably the most important part of the session, is the opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective.
The small group will have an experienced host and there is no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously!). -
